Litter Critters

There's too much "stuff" around. We are up to our ying yangs in stuff. We have become the "throw away" society. If we are going to nurture this planet the only hope we have lies in the hands of our children. We must teach them carefully. It's simple put in the lyrics to a song I wrote:

There’s No Place Else To Live

We’re lulled into complacency

And think we’ll see tomorrow.

We have a deadly legacy

Of poison, pain, and sorrow.

We can’t accept this fallacy

That everything is fine.

We have to act audaciously,

We’re almost our of time

THERE’S NO PLACE ELSE TO LIVE,

No matter where you roam.

We’ve got to pull together

To make this world our home.

We’re all of us one people,

Be you brother, friend, or foe.

So open up your eyes and realize….

There’s no place else to go.

We must discard this apathy

Toward our sisters and our brothers,

And learn to live, and work, and play

With careful thought for others.

Cease, at once, this deadly waste

And cherish all Mankind,

For our children are recipients

Of what we leave behind.

THERE’S NO PLACE ELSE TO LIVE,

No matter where you roam.

We’ve got to pull together

To make this world our home.

We’re all of us one people,

Be you brother, friend, or foe.

So open up your eyes and realize….

There’s no place else to go.

This song is sung by the CLeanup Crew, the litter critter band in the story of the same name. I created the Litter Critters from trash, and come to life in the Litter Critter Creation, a children's book soon to be published. The focus is on children, the environment, and creativity. I will continue to share more songs and bits and pieces of the characters with you.

On this blog you will be able to communicate with either myself and/or my producing partner, Russ Tilaro.
